If you’re gonna go home
take a distance
and move nowhere but
on your very stance
man has to run in his own
blood of destiny.
yet even minutes melt
in your every cult
when you’re about to leave
those sick memories
don’t forget to fire-breath
in the deepest throb of your might
glimmering words
are raining down. unlocking glory
in the deepest fire of a torch
a man—somebody like me
was trapped and enchanted—to be back home
leaving your mind
that he’s never succeeded
to borrow.
Now take me home
into the heart of distance
but let me stay not
in the dark of myself.

This is nobody’s universe
life of an unknown entity
morning is morning, very old
and night swivels around
carrying a piece of pain’s history
this part of adventure, very old
what’s older is our sanity
our sonorous journey
those homely decayed Mondays
are trimming, and keep trimming
snatching away any visual memory
places that shine powerlessly
with might and altered energy
will they just let you speak up
uttering nobody’s words
into which we’re swooped
—being swollen
which life is mine, which is yours
we’re too old to know
that there’s a shimmer anyway
in every path of whose destiny
Legacy
More, more on touch
that sends you around the moment
of any spoken emotion
of every rained demolition
and I shall chase you somewhere
To designate a complete feeling
in this very absolute temptation
which you find yourself gone
vanishing before days melt
on your transparent dreams.
Heading for Harmony
Promise me that you shall grow
In every step of truth
Emulating a bird that flies with no sorrow
Rendering power of its own fate, and
Rain has not come to back you off
Essentially you are what you need to be
Even in calamity and silent agony, oh
Maintain patience and faith
Merely God touches you in His path
Alike others that do embrace
Never do you need be doubtful
Unity will be yours, will be yours
Everywhere you go spreading seeds of peace
Light will be with you as He promises
So long, so long you’ve waited
Creeping up for a maiden’s smile
Hope you know and then read
Everything that you expect to meet
It is today when you write your history
Defining where you head for a harmony.

P.S. This poem is specially presented for a Belgian man who was married to a friend of mine several years ago in Semarang. This very poem was once recited before him right on his birthday. (Surely before we enjoyed the tasty ‘jagung bakar’ in that cold night :p
